Essex Richards Welcomes Family Law Attorney Lindsay Van Noy

Essex Richards is pleased to announce that Lindsay Van Noy has joined Essex Richards P.A.’s family law group.

Lindsay received her Bachelor of Arts from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she double majored in Political Science and Management & Society, and minored in History. Lindsay earned her Juris Doctorate from the University of Alabama School of Law in 2020. While in law school, she served as senior editor on the Law & Psychology Review and provided pro bono mediation services through the law school’s mediation clinic.

Prior to joining Essex Richards, Lindsay worked as a judicial law clerk for a Domestic Relations Circuit Court Judge in Mobile, Alabama. She then spent several years as a family law associate in Birmingham, Alabama, focusing her practice on family law and divorce matters, including equitable distribution, child custody, child support, alimony, contempt proceedings, appeals, and premarital agreements.

Essex Richards family law Partner Julia Kirby Stage commented, “we are so excited to welcome Lindsay to our firm. Her poise and professionalism are major assets to our team and her approachability makes clients feel at ease. Lindsay’s desire to contribute to the community through volunteer work is also remarkable and a passion we welcome at Essex Richards.”

Lindsay was actively involved with the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Alabama where she served as the marketing chair of the Junior Board.

Originally from northwestern North Carolina, Lindsay is excited to be back in her home state. Outside of the office, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, reading, and exploring the Charlotte area.
