On Monday, September 12, the North Carolina Bar Foundation held a Wills for Heroes clinic in Charlotte serving 23 first responders and their families.
The Wills for Heroes program partners with local fire, police, and EMS stations/departments to host clinics where volunteer attorneys draft simple wills, health care power of attorney and financial power of attorney documents for first responders and their families, free of charge.
Essex Richards partner Jon Windham was one of 40 attorneys and notaries who volunteered last week to prepare legal documents for local first responders.
