Courier Position Available

Description:
Seeking energetic, reliable person to support attorneys and staff members and serve as courier to and from the courthouse and other area locations. Professionalism is important. Should be resourceful, manage time efficiently, be able to work with diverse personalities and provide their own reliable transportation. Tasks will include providing general office administrative support, fill-in for receptionist at lunch and breaks, and picking-up and delivering items to courts, other law firms, and area businesses. Job may evolve to include other duties and responsibilities based on employee’s skills, demonstrated abilities and interest. Knowledge of the courthouse as well as filing procedures is preferred, but not required (on-the-job training available). The position is currently open.

Duties and responsibilities would include but would not be limited to:

  1. Greet clients, and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
  2. Communicate professionally, in a clear and concise manner
  3. Work independently with minimal supervision
  4. Maintain a professional work environment at all times and comply with the company’s dress code policy (a minimum of business casual)
  5. Prompt and consistent attendance
  6. Be a team player, deal effectively with co-workers and clients
  7. Perform administrative duties (filing, photocopying, and faxing) in an efficient and timely manner
  8. Perform office duties (stocking conferences rooms, copy rooms, kitchen, and copiers) in an efficient and timely manner
  9. Problem solving and willingness to solicit assistance for resolution
  10. Word processing tasks (correspondence, reports, memo, proposals, charts, agreements, etc.)
  11. File documents in various courts, in-office filing, office errands
  12. Deliver and pick-up documents at other law firms and area businesses
  13. Help out around office as needed

Skills/Qualifications:
Basic PC Proficiency, professionalism, multi-tasking, good organizational skills, problem- solving, excellent time management abilities, strong customer service skills, strong oral and written communication skills (spelling, grammar and punctuation), provide own reliable vehicle.

Hours:
Part-time position; 20 hours per week; 5 days per week; 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.; potential flexibility with advance notice.
