Beth Buckner grew up in Charlotte, North Carolina.  She graduated from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, Tennessee where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science.  While at the University of Tennessee she was a member of Pi Sigma Alpha Political Science Honors Society.  Beth received her law degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law in Columbia, South Carolina where she focused her studies on taxation.  While at the University of South Carolina Beth was a Public Interest Law Society Merit Based Grant Recipient.  She was also a Research Editor for the ABA Real Property, Trust and Estate Law Journal, a member of Phi Delta Phi Law Fraternity, and a peer mentor.  Beth also took the time to give back to her community by participating in the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program as a certified tax preparer.  After law school Beth went on to earn her Masters in Taxation from the University of Florida Fredric G. Levin College of Law in Gainesville, Florida.  While earning her Masters, Beth edited the Federal Taxation of Income, Estates & Gifts Treatise as a Graduate Assistant to Professor Lawrence Lokken.

Although studying at various schools, Beth has a strong allegiance to the University of Tennessee Volunteers.
